The MAC3 Fund ( formerly known as MaC3 Co-Pro Fund ) is a funding support designed to help innovative local companies to develop, produce and co-produce content in the areas of Animation, Game, Digital Film with VFX components, Beyond Entertainment ( Education, Simulation and Training content ) , High-end Technology Deployment ( Film Technology, Editing and Coloring, Digitization ) and Digital Music that will contribute to the overall development of Creative Multimedia Industry and MSC Malaysia.
FAQ
1. Can I apply more than 1 IP at one time?
No, only 1 application per company is allowed at one time.
2. I am not an MSC- Status Company, can I apply for MaC3 Fund?
Yes, but only limited to the Development Fund provided that your company is a SDN. BHD.
3. My company is Enterprise, can I still apply?
No, the requirement is to have a SDN BHD. company.
4. I have aSdnBhd company and in the process of applying the MSC-status ship, am I eligible for the Production/Co-Production Fund?
No, however, you are advised to go for Development Fund, and should you manage to obtain MSC-status ship upon completion of development and the fund is still available, you may apply for Production/Co-Production Fund.
5. How long can I expect for approval from the day I made the full submission?
Do allow a timeframe of 60 days, in which you will be notified on the decision of MaC3 Fund Approval Committee decision.
The processing rate of application is also depending on the full completeness of the submission.
6. When I submit the soft copy of the application form, is it considered as a full submission?
No, the submission of the softcopy is merely for our safe keeping and check for completion. Applicant is required to submit the signed copy of the application form by hand/postal delivery.
Applicant need to ensure that the submission is as per the requirement by the Secretariat.
7. Does MDeC accept the photocopy of my supporting documents?
Yes, provided that it is certified as true copies.
8. I have an existing project funded by government and it is still under production, can I apply for MaC3 Fund?
No, applicant is advised to complete their existing project before applying for MaC3 Fund.
9. If my application has been rejected, can I still apply for another project?
Yes, you may do so.
10. How many forms do I have to fill up?
Two forms. The Pre-Application form which can be downloaded from the website will be brought for expert evaluation. Only successful applicant on the first screening will be given the specific Application Form of the applying fund.

1. Closing date for applications will be on the 15th of every month.
2. Qualified applications for the next level of evaluation are STRICTLY based on the Eligibility Criteria.

4. Each applicant will be given 10 minutes to present their project (10mins present excluding 5mins Q&A). As a guideline, the presentation may include but not limited to:-
· Project Background / Summary / Storyline
· Project Type (Animation/Film/Beyond Entertainment/etc)
· Project Commercialization Plan
· Past projects
5. Following the full and complete submission of your application (as verified by the Creative Multimedia Division), you will be informed of the Approval Committee decision within 60 working days.
